Marlyn and Rhys - College Cross Country Team

Heading off to Regionals…

On Thursday 26th of May a group of college students participated in the Division Cross-Country competition at Akoonah Park, Berwick. The day saw 580 students take part from 9 different schools.

The Pakenham Secondary College strong team of 20 students participated in both the 3000 and 5000 m events.

Well done to:

Nathaniel D, Blake H, Codey W, Rhiannon S, Caitlin F, Cate Z, Zak M, Andy O, Yven C, Deacon G, Jordan S, Sarah B, Rhys D, Jenna D,
Cameron D, Marlyn S, Thawatchai M, Corey H, James B, Maddison D.

Weather conditions were appalling, with rain present throughout the day.

Boys in the 12-13 age group had the worst of the downpour, with torrential rain making it’s appearance 30 seconds into their race!

Congratulations to students James Burr (Year 10), Rhys Douglas (Year 9), Zak Mort (8.4) and Marlyn Staunton (Year 9) for their results.

They will now compete at the Regionals held at Ballam Park, Frankston on the 23rd June.
