Awesome fundraising results

College students have been busy working on special projects centered around fundraising activities. The first project, run by the Year 11 VCAL students, kept us in suspense with mysterious ‘roses’ posters appearing around the college. The successful campaign was designed to raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis. More Players Drawn to Chess Tournament

A total of 82 players were ready for another round of chess competition on Friday 10th June. The College once again had the special role of hosting 12 teams from eight schools to compete in the Cardinia chess tournament. On Thursday 26th of May a group of college students participated in the Division Cross-Country competition at Akoonah Park, Berwick. The day saw 580 students take part from 9 different schools. College students today were treated to a visit by Seth Franco, former basketball player for the Harlem Globe Trotters. After displaying his amazing basketball skills, Seth shared his journey of dealing with a physical disability, overcoming his limitations and achieving his dream. On Tuesday 24th May, four college students experienced a behind the scenes tour of Parliament House. The students selected were the recipients of the annual Brian Paynter MP Award for Outstanding Effort and Community Spirit.
